Shannon Robinson, Chef and Owner of Distinguished Dishes Premier Catering, is known for her innovative culinary design. After graduating at the top of her class from Algonquin College's culinary arts program, her career was quickly accelerated by her experience at Café Henry Burger under Chef Robert Bourassa. Looking to expand her culinary creativity, Shannon joined one of Ottawa's top catering companies where she inspired culinary innovation and design. Later, motivated by her entrepreneurial spirit, Shannon opened Cloud 9 Catering. A corporate catering sensation, Cloud 9 Catering clients were sad to see Shannon close up shop and follow her husband to San Francisco.

Capitalizing on this opportunity, Shannon toured numerous cities across Canada and the United States to further her culinary knowledge and experience. Highlights include attending courses at The Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley and obtaining an intern position working under well-known pastry chef Emily Luchetti at Farallon. Farallon is one of San Francisco's premier restaurants owned by Pat Kuleto.

When they returned to Ottawa in 2001, Shannon felt the culinary spark and with that came Distinguished Dishes Premier Catering, specializing in dramatic displays, mouthwatering menus, and prompt personal service.

Shannon, her culinary team, servers, and bartenders all enjoy the same mission;

"At Distinguished Dishes Premier Catering, we will provide customized catering solutions for those who do not believe in the compromise of quality. We will continuously strive to innovate and exceed our clients' expectations. We provide our clients with unsurpassed personal service, extraordinary food quality, and spectacular presentation."

Whether it is for corporate functions, wedding celebrations, or social gatherings for small or large, we look forward to creating a spectacular menu given your particular preferences.
